I know i've mentioned it before, but i love Journey.

it might be a testament to just how "long island" i am at heart, but i can't help myself when any Journey tune starts playing. Be it at a bar, mall, sporting event (like i really go to those) or just cruising around...i have to turn it up and sing as loudly as possible.

but how can you deny steve perry? he's a god. a sentimental rock god of delicious 80's-ness.

harry potter mania part 7

and so it begins.

this morning the world was treated to the seventh and final harry potter book cover via the today show.

it was a welcome treat, considering my morning up to that point consisted of waking up in a horrible mood, waking up LATE, and realizing i would once again not have enough time to finish getting dressed and make lunch. i had to do one or the other. i went with getting dressed. because it would probably be silly to show up to work in pajamas, sandwich in hand.

back to HP. so we see the cover. big deal. oh wait, that's right...i'm obsessed with harry potter! it is a big deal! the harry potter obsession flame has once again been ignited within my heart. and with the next movie and book coming out in the same MONTH of this year, harry potter will surely run my life.

thank god sites like MuggleNet exist. Because now i can go and read everything i wanted to know about book 7. at least, everything except for what actually HAPPENS in book 7.

Using the create a character over at http://www.becomeanmm.com/ i managed to fashion myself into an m&m. but unlike the original m&m's....fellas, i WILL melt in your hands...well, capable ones anyway..

ok, enough of this vulgar talk. i was inspired by allie who first created me but was unable to download her version. i ended up just taking a screenshot because the site seems to be having server problems.

i think i made myself too pale. i put myself in an alley as well...which is weird, but the closest thing to the city i could find. note the camera...and flip flops...that's me!

update

the year anniversary of this blog came and went without fan fare. so i'm pretty sure that tells me what i should do with it.

i'm going to retire the old blog.

just kidding. i'll keep it around, and post if something strikes me. but due to my:

1. new position within my company
2. new photo blog
3. need for sleep/a social life

i'll probably be too damned busy to blog on any kind of "regular" basis.

if something huge happens i'll post.

otherwise, you should just swing on over to my PHOTO BLOG every two weeks for a fresh offering of my photography skillz. word.

Locket Pet

i got a beautiful silver locket for christmas. and because i lack a boyfriend or husband, i'm starting to think about whose picture i should put in it.see? lovely.

perhaps i could go with any one of my fake boyfriends? Surely wentworth miller and matthew fox are good enough for the real estate around my neck?

or maybe i could toss a picture of my grandma in there. she's an inspiring woman.

or maybe i could go with some other inspiring woman...


Like perhaps...kristen bell. saucy veronica mars. always hot, always smart (except when it comes to that damn Logan)....

bea arthur. i must admit, that she's only in here because of the classic "Who would you do" question (who would you do: bea arthur...or mrs buttersworth) which was asked on new years eve this year. but the more i think about it, she's a television legend, has won over legions of male (gay) fans, has starred on the stage and screen...and been herself the whole way. pretty inspiring.

ORi could go with the obvious choice of Nancy Pelosi. First female speaker of the house. I watched her get voted in while i was out sick last week. and i'm not afraid to admit that it brought me to tears a few times. more than a few. but that also could have been the fever.


i'll probably end up putting a picture of my cat in there.
