old people rock

is it me, or do you also thrill in finding that your grandparent knows the vernacular of today's youth or pop culture? i know i do. everytime my nanny knows what it is i'm talking about, it always warms my heart. just today she sent me an email (yeah, the woman works it. she uses a computer ALL the time) congratulating me on my new blog. and she actually said that she was "looking forward to future blogs."

it's great to know she's not out of the loop and using a horn held up to her ear to hear what's happening.i guess i'm more happy that i have half a chance at growing old like her...with all of my wits about me. instead of how some other people age, with a poor disposition and a hatred of the "damned rock music."
