write what you know
since i was out bowling during most of my workday yesterday, i didn't get to fully go through all of the routines i have here at my desk. and by 'routines' i mean, web sites that i read regularly. one that i've missed for a few days: gawker. so, i get in this morning, do some work, check the email, and find my way over to gawker, natch. and boy was i in for a surprise.
anyone who knows me knows that i love the west wing. that i own the entire series of sports night on dvd, in addition to the american president. i've always disliked tom cruise, so i've been holding out on buying a few good men, but everytime tbs runs it, i watch. what can you surmise from the previous statements? i've got a full on love affair going with aaron sorkin's writing.
i'm not going to make a case for aaron sorkin. because he makes the case himself. and up until now, i seriously thought he was gay. i don't know why. i don't think i ever read it in any publication. i just kind of assumed. i guess i really made an ass out of u and me, huh? ok, maybe just me.
turns out that call girl in season one of the west wing is based on a real person. "write what you know" is starting to take on a whole new meaning for me...
but i still love josh lyman. that at least, could never be tainted by crack fuelled sessions with high class call girls (boy is that an oxymoron).
