weekend update - only less funny and without jimmy fallon or tina fey or amy poehler.

why hello! it has been quite some time, hasn't it? here i am. you can stop obsessively checking to see if i've posted. what? what's that you say? you want to know what i've been up to these last few days? SUUUUUURE....

recap!

friday - i left work early in order to get home, change and get ready for my cousin megan's...

i was really kind of thinking that this was going to be semi-lame (no offense meggles). because i'm 23, and the last sweet sixteen i went to was when i was actually 16. but it turned out to be awesome. the dj was fun (and a friend of mine) the candle ceremony was short and sweet (and i got a candle!!) and there was booze abound. one upside to being at a sweet sixteen post 21 - you can actually drink. plus my family are big dancers, which always makes for a good time. my cousin megan looked AWESOME in her pink dress and was eloquent and wise beyond her years with her candles (not cheezy, but GOOD).

i left the party early and totally bummed out because i was having such a good time, but then had to focus. because i was heading to connecticut where kathleen would pick me up and we would sleep, wake, and start our journey to maine.

saturday - arise at 535. actually wake up at 6. start our maine voyage by 630 (after a stop at a bagel place, yum). we got to maine around 1230 - making the most excellent time ever. i spent the majority of the trip in the backseat, sleeping. apparently we had no traffic.

saturday afternoon/monday morning - spend our trip to maine driving around greater Farmington, going "moose spotting" and checking out the beautiful scenery. there was booze, me getting punched in the face on the dance floor of a tiny bar, walmart, ghetto bling, maria being the best dancer in the joint, my contracting the worst cold in history, gab time with my ladies, smores, a bbq, more booze, plenty of sleep and a suprise visit from none other than leigh weisenburger. all in all, a great trip. i had lots of good downtime with carrie, who left again for the peace corps (boo) and enjoyed my time with her family and friends (who are crazy awesome). i would post a picture of how awesome clearwater lake is. BUT blogger is being an ass. and everytime i try to upload it, it says it has. but actually has not. idiot.

monday/tuesday - we left monday at around 930 and arrived back in ct around 4ish. really good time for no traffic. this time, we stopped to get something to eat. yay. anyway, we took a train back to grand central, then i cabbed it and took a train back to li, where my mom picked me up and dropped me at my apartment so i could promptly DIE. i was so sick. the travelling was catching up with me and it was not pretty. i went to bed early, rose late, and called in to work. so that's it. my whole weekend. i'm here now, at work, catching up on everything i missed (not really much of anything).

the continuing saga of me not having internet at home....going strong. but i'm going to make a note of it to my landlord on thursday or friday. because it's killing me. KILLING me.

also, congratulations harold on winning top chef. it's old news, but i just found out. clearly you are infinitely more awesome than i thought you were. except for the fact that you won't be my friend on myspace. uhm, hello! hee hee hee.
