Chuck Norris, why do we love you so?

the trend i (and everyone else in the world) have noticed as of late, is paying homage (or poking fun, depending on how you look at it) to the great Chuck Norris - karate superstar. i don't really understand it. i've always thought of chuck norris as half joke, half bad ass. but who am i to disagree?
