big news

some big, big news over here at team monica. tonight, i go to a location in Farmingdale, NY to put down the deposit and first months rent on my brand new apartment!! WOOHOO!

allie and i decided to take this apartment because of its many features:


feature #1: two separate bedrooms

some of you don't know this, although i can't imagine who is reading this that isn't aware of the layout of my home, but allison and i live with our parents. hot. we also basically share a room. double hot. you have to walk through allison's bedroom to get to mine, which doesn't really bother us, except the two above factors have completely and totally obliterated any desire to bring someone home. not that we bring people home, mom. but you know...a girl has needs. so, this apartment has two separate, albeit small, bedrooms. one is off of the kitchen, and one is off of the living room. voila, problem solved.

feature #2 basement storage

we have a lot of crap. a lot. considering this apartment is not incredibly large, basement storage is crucial. also, i hate to throw things out.

feature #3 train station

currently i pay 240 dollars a month to take the LIRR from babylon to penn station. i will now be travelling from farmingdale to penn station, for a mere 203 dollars. fabulous. also, we live less than a half a mile from the train, which means i can walk (which i will do, due to my lack of vehicle).

feature #4 we get to keep toni danza

for those of you not familiar, we do not get to keep the fun loving - tap dancing - annoying star of daytime television. our cat is also named toni danza, with an "i" because she's a girl. this apt is pet friendly. thank the lord.

feature #5 utilities included

i'm talkin electric. heat. water. gas. cable (basic, but who cares). INTERNET. nuff said.

feature #6 total and complete access to the backyard with patio

you should know what that means, folks. come summer...the second annual Freisem Luau will commence. start planning your trips and booking your flights. i now have an apartment you all can sleep in.
