Superman Returns - full force!

what is it about a man running while simultaneously taking off his clothes that's so hot?

damn. he's fine. forget the christopher reeves lookalike comments. brandon routh is hot. all on his own. and going to see Superman last night was great - if only for the fact that you're allowed, nay--required to look at that face for 2 and a half hours. man. hot. ok. enough drooling.

overall, the movie was great. it was fun, funny, schmaltzy, corny, action packed with ridiculously awesome special effects. kevin spacey is a joy, parker posey steals every scene she's in and james marsden is also hot (and i'm glad we get to see his eyes...not like in xmen...stupid cyclops and his giant sunglasses thingy). kate bosworth was lacking, but she's pretty to look at, and her forehead didn't seem SO large, as it usually does. brandon routh is a great superman. and a good clark kent too. i'm glad i finally got to hear him talk, because for the last few weeks all i've been seeing has been pictures of him. good to know he has a voice, and some intelligence behind it...the last thing anyone needs is a vapid superman.

i only wish for one thing...

1. i wish there was less superman flying, and more superman naked. or wet. or wet and naked.

ok seriously, i'm straddling the pg-13 line.
