right temperature
i can hardly believe it's thursday already. these last few days at work have been slightly difficult. our air conditioner is broken. normally this wouldn't be a problem, as the office is generally freezing all year, except for some reason it is ungodly warm in here. not so ungodly that i'm sweating, but enough so that i want to take a nap. you see, there are two temperatures for napping that i find acceptable:
1. crisp, cool, clean. think, autumn early evening. just cool enough that being under a comforter is in fact comforting, but warm enough that you can leave a limb out (i prefer a foot or leg) and not suffer from mid sleep shivers.
2. this office. warm enough so you can sleep without waking up in a sweat, but can forgo blankets. think a sun drenched room with the windows closed all day - and then opened right when you're about to lay down.
i'm trying to fix my dilemma by turning on the mini desk fan i have here. it's helping slightly. but mostly i'm fighting off the temptation to sleep by keeping busy. i'm working on a few projects at a time, and hoping that my boss sends me an email asking me to do something new. what can i say, i live for multitasking.
on a completely unrelated note, BRAVO lied to me. i thought the finale of TOP CHEF was last night, when it is in fact next wednesday. this makes me ANGRY. because next week is the two hour season finale of LOST, starting at 9pm. luckily for BRAVO, they replay the 10pm episode right away at 11pm. and, if you're keeping score, one of my beloved fake boyfriends, Harold-made it to the final two on top chef last night...further securing his place in culinary and reality show history (and of course, my heart). beat tiffany, harold! then, come back to new york and we'll make some babies.
