I'm obsessed. dangerously so. I never knew he existed! soul coughing? what is this soul coughing? oh yeah, they were big before 2000, which means that i was busy being obsessed with HORRIBLE music and great musicals and studying (because high school nerds do that) and not having a good internet connection or a car to drive to good music stores or any money to buy cool stuff.

i apologize, mike. because you are AMAZING.

so how did i find mike doughty? well, obviously he collided with one of my other current obsessions, Veronica Mars. his song, "I hear the bells" is on the official soundtrack, and was featured in a season 2 scene that is so heartbreaking/hot. i really love his lyrics, because they're sexy (don't misunderstand, i don't mean perverse or explicit). and if you know me, you know i don't say that often. yeah. so go get veronica mars and mike doughty. but you have to get him now if you want to say "i knew him when" - as he is about to explode into fame because one of his songs is going to be featured in an upcoming episode of Grey's Anatomy, which you know sets any music act on fire.
