believe the hype.

i got new glasses. stand by for pictures. i haven't started wearing them yet, because i got them at four pm today. according to the guy at the place, my eyes are already adjusted to wearing these junkners that i have on, and i would probably develop a headache if i tried to wear my new ones. thanks dude, i haven't been wearing glasses since i'm in 2nd grade. i had NO idea that would happen. but i didn't tell him that. because he was the first official stranger to comment on my tattoo. he liked it. therefore, i want to have his babies. just kidding. he was cute in a weird geeky "i work at the eye glass factory" kinda way. but charming, none the less. i'm getting carried away with myself.

i also got a haircut. today was surely a day of image revival.

when i was younger and got new sneakers once a year when school was starting up, i was a firm believer in all that the commercials told me. that i would "run faster, jump higher, play harder" for example. but it simply was not true.

so why now, as an adult, when i get new glasses or a haircut or decide to pluck my eyebrows differently, do i think that will somehow impact what kind of person i am, or what i can do? because i want to believe it about myself. because i want to be better. but with my grown out hair or old glasses, i can't be.

so maybe i'll start.

or i'll realize that i can't run jump or play better than before and i'm better off watching "remember the titans" on tnt again.

i guess we'll see.
